"Mary Rose"

This rose is sweetly fragrant, vigorous and spreading. "Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary of Magdala went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they have put him."

Peter and the disciple ran to the empty tomb, looked inside and they believed. "Then the disciples went back to their homes, but Mary stood outside the tomb crying." We know the story...she saw two angels where Jesus' body had been. They asked her why she was crying. She told them they have have taken My Lord away and didn't know where. She saw a man she thought was the gardener and asked him where the body was. But when "Jesus said to her, "Mary." "She turned and cried out teacher..." "Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me...Go instead to my brothers and tell them..." Mary went to the disciples to spread the news "I have seen the Lord."

Jesus is alive. He arose from the dead. He lives today. Are we holding on to Him or are we spreading the sweet fragrance of His life, His death, His resurrection. Are we a "Mary Rose"? Jesus is Risen. Hallejuah!
